The permanent exhibition ’What we’ve been unable to shout out to the world’, the exhibition ’Bejt Tfila – the house of prayer’ and the temporary exhibition are available to visitors:

  • from Monday to Friday between 10 AM and 6 PM (last entry 5 PM)
  • on Sundays between 10 AM and 6 PM (last entry 5 PM).


Visits to the exhibitions

At exhibitions it is obligatory to cover the nose and mouth with a mask or other garment, and to wear gloves or to disinfect hands.

You can buy tickets online or at the Institute’s ticket office, open from Monday to Friday, from 10 am to 5 pm. We recommend buying your tickets online.

According to the safety requirements, we cannot let in more than 20 people simultaneously to the exhibition ’What we’ve been unable to shout out to the world’ and the temporary exhibition. Only 2 persons can be present at the exhibition ’Bejt Tfila – the house of prayer’.

Visiting the temporary exhibition „Symcha Trachter 1894–1942. Light and Color” is free of charge. Free tickets can be acquired online.

For guided tours for groups of school students, university students or seniors, please visit our Education section. Guided tours for these groups are free of charge.

Guided tours, led by employees of the Jewish Historical Institute, are available from Monday to Friday during exhibition opening hours, after prior appointment and confirmation by e-mail. Such tours can be start just after purchase. If you want to arrange a guided tour of the exhibition, please write to: rezerwacja@jhi.pl


    WALKS

    For educational walks for groups other than school students, university students or seniors, please see the list of available walks in our Education section and contact us by e-mail: rezerwacja@jhi.pl.

    Price list:

    • guided tour with an educator in Polish — 246 zł
    • guided tour with an educator in English — 369 zł

    The walks require 10 participants minimum.

    Walks are organized from April 1 to October 31.

    • with educators in English — 400 zł

    The workshops require 10 participants minimum.

    Please book your visits at least 14 days in advance. In case of paid visits, the payment should be submitted at lest 7 days in advance.

    Reading room

    The reading room provides documents from the Archives of the Jewish Historical Institute as well as books and periodicals from the Library’s resources. Orders can be placed in person or by e-mail. Documents and books are available only on site.

    The reading room offers bibliographic help, shares information about Jewish institutions, and provides information for historical research. You may use your own copying devices in the reading room.

    Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Reading Room remains closed from March 2020 until further notice.
